28th Oct 2025Tuesday10:30am Walk No. 1   Warmley WalkMeet at Warmley Station. The no 43 bus stops in Station Road (opposite the car park) at  approximately 15-minute intervals. This walk takes us partly along the cycle track but then leads onto fields where we might expect to encounter mud and puddles. Sign-up sheet in the Winter Events Folder at the club

26th Nov 2025 10:30am Walk No. 2   Clifton WalkMeet at Broad Quay, (Neptune’s statue) at 10.30 am. The walk takes us up Park Street and then on into Clifton, eventually descending onto Hotwells Road which leads us back to the Centre via Millennium Square and the Quayside restaurants where refreshments can be taken if desired. 10th Dec 2025Wednesday10:30am Walk No.  3   Cock Road Ridge “Christmas” WalkCock Road Ridge “Christmas” walk. There is no official car park in the vicinity although spaces may be found in nearby streets. The no 42 bus runs only every hour from the City Centre, via Redfield and Kingswood. If travelling from Kingswood board the 09.37 from Kings Chase and alight at the “Mounthill Road” bus stop (the stop immediately after the Pettigrove Road stop) where the bus should arrive at our meeting and start point at 0950.  We recommend the use of a walking pole/stick on this walk since there will be moderate uphill and downhill gradients on uneven surfaces. This walk will end at the adjacent Aspects Leisure site where we will be able to enjoy a carvery lunch at the Wishing Well restaurant. If there are more than 14 interested, we will need to book in advance.  This can be done on the day Sign-up sheet in the Winter Events Folder at the club

8th Jan 2026Thursday10.30am Walk No. 4   Gover Road Public Open Space HanhamMeet at Hanham Surgery (not in the surgery car park!) Whittucks Road.  The walk takes us behind the surgery and leads on to Gover Road open space behind Hanham Hall, through a wooded area, then to open space, past a children’s play area and returning to Whittucks Road. Parking is possible on Whittucks Road but it is a main route for no 44 bus, Centre to Cadbury Heath and vice versa and this runs at approximately 25-minute intervals, depending on whether you will come from the Bristol direction or Cadbury Heath. This walk takes us on a tour of both old and new areas of Bristol and we will see some interesting and innovative sculptures enroute. We will end the walk at the Harbourside where there will be ample opportunity for refreshments. There are plenty of buses for (nearly) all routes from the Centre. 4th Mar 2026Wednesday10:30am£0Walk No. 6 Bristol Docks Floating Harbour WalkMeet at Neptune’s statue, Broad Quay (city centre) for a walk past the quayside restaurants, Millennium Square, the former Lloyds Bank building, to the Merchants Road bridge where we will pass the historic Nova Scotia Inn on our way back toward the Centre, past the replica of John Cabot’s “Matthew” ship, & the SS Great Britain.
